A CINEMA has undergone a major refurbishment.
The Cineworld at Brighton Marina reopened on July 31 with a new wrap-around screen and a branch of Starbucks.
The cinema chain has delayed reopening amid the coronavirus crisis, after initially said it would be back on July 10.
Its new “ScreenX” extends to the side of the auditorium walls, giving cinemagoers a 270-degree view. It’s being used to show Bohemian Rhapsody and Black Panther.
Cineworld said: “With the film extended beyond your peripheral vision, every action will play on your emotions more than ever before, giving you a truly atmospheric experience when watching your favourite films.”
Standard screens have also been refurbished and there are new seats and upgrades in the foyer.
Amid the pandemic, the UK Cinema Association has advised cinema companies to sell a reduced number of tickets and seat people from different households apart.
