Three fire crews battled an arson blaze at an empty caravan.
The firefighters were called to the incident in Northwick Road, Canvey at 7.49pm last night and found the caravan was completely alight.
The incident has been recorded as deliberate.
A spokesman for Essex Fire Service said: "Crews extinguished a caravan fire on Canvey last night. Firefighters from Canvey, Rayleigh Weir and Basildon were called to Northwick Road at 7.49pm and found an unoccupied caravan completely alight.
“They safely removed two gas cylinders and extinguished the fire by 8.23pm. The cause has been recorded as deliberate.”
