River water has turned a shade of orange after sugars and syrups escaped from the huge factory fire.
The River Crouch in and around Memorial Park in Wickford has changed colour after the substances from Kent Foods Limited, Christopher Martin Road, Basildon entered the waterways after the huge fire last Saturday.
A total of 100 firefighters spend more than 48 hours battling the major blaze at the food distribution firm.

Now a cordon has been spotted around the river in the park – with lots of residents raising concerns online about the impact on wildlife.
The Environment Agency, Essex Police and Essex Fire Service were contacted for comment.
