A MAN has been charged after a man was attacked with a dumbbell inside a restaurant.
Joshua Crouch, 27, of Arlingford Road, Brixton, has been charged with two counts of possessing an offensive weapon and one count of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
He appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Saturday and he has been remanded to appear at Basildon Crown Court on Monday October 12.
It follows an incident at Aspera Restaurant, in London Road, around 1.55pm on September 10 where a man suffered a head injury.
It was reported a man, armed with a dumbbell and knife, yelled at the victim during the attack before being restrained by customers.
The victim was taken to hospital following the incident.
