A GARDEN centre says Christmas is NOT cancelled and festive events will go ahead as planned.

Cherry Lane, which is based off the A120 near Braintree, says it is "determined" to ensure customers get in the Christmas spirit when visiting.

Bosses say tickets for its festive events are already selling fast and customers are urged to book soon to avoid disappointment.

Laura Chapman, assistant manager of events and visual merchandising for Cherry Lane, said; “This year, we’re finding our customers are getting more excited about Christmas much earlier than usual.

"While other festive events have had to be cancelled across the country because of Covid-19, we have been working hard at Cherry Lane to ensure we can still deliver our Christmas magic, safely and within the latest Government guidelines.

"We have events for all the family, from Breakfast with Father Christmas, including socially distanced entertainment, to wreath making workshops and even a Santa Paws event for dogs.”

Cherry Lane says it will also be offering its usual range of festive gifts, treats, lights and decorations.
