A teenager who trespassed onto railway lines has been handed a stay in a youth detention centre.
The youngster made their way onto the c2c lines in Pitsea and delayed trains by 235 minutes.
A spokesmen for British Transport Police said: "A 16-year-old was caught trespassing in the c2c line in Pitsea resulting in 235 worth of train delay minutes and costing £11,551.
"They were found guilty at court along with additional Essex Police offences and they received a total of two years in youth detention of which four months were for railway trespass."
