The Covid-19 hotspots across south Essex have been revealed with a Government interactive map.

Areas are colour coded according to the seven–day rates per 100,000 people.

In Great Wakering and Foulness there are 21 cases which is a rise from 16 and 320.0 per cent in a week.

Other areas with high cases in Southend include Southend Central where Government figures show there's 28 cases of coronavirus, up from 14 the previous week.

Thorpe Bay has 20 cases and this is up from 4 last week, while in Leigh health bosses recorded 24 Covid cases. This was up from 16.

In Basildon the highest area is still Steeple View and Noak Bridge with 44 cases over the last week which is an increase of 33 cases.

Felmore and Bowers Gifford the number of cases is now 23 which rose seven.

On Canvey, Canvey North West saw a rise in Covid cases with 25 recorded in the last week - this is up 14.
