An arrest warrant was issued for a man said to have stolen six mobile phones from courier firm DPD.

Kyle Brace, 26, of Athelstan Road, Malmesbury, was working for the company in Royal Wootton Bassett when he is accused of stealing the phones – worth more than £4,800 – in November 2019.

He is also said to have stolen items from Tesco in Chippenham in March.

Brace had been due before Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Monday to answer charges of theft by an employee and shoplifting.

When he did not show up, District Judge Joanna Dickens issued a warrant for his arrest.

Arrest warrants were issued for three other men:

Osman Barry, 26, of Oakmeadow Close, Birmingham, is accused of driving a Mercedes CLA 220 AMG in Calne on September 12, 2019, while over the drug-driving limit, without insurance or a licence and in possession of cannabis. He has also been charged with obstructing a police constable.

Derek Bowell, 51, of Rolleston Street, Swindon, has been charged with two counts of fraud by false representation. He is accused of picking up goods from stores in October and November 2019 and trying to return them in order to claim refunds.

Sorren Lane, 40, of Hartcliffe, Bristol, faces an allegation he stole a Rab jacket from Go Outdoors in Swindon in March.
