Train line bosses have added additional services after an outrage over train cuts.

More trains are now running across the c2c train line following a public outcry.

It comes after commuters hit out at c2c train bosses due to the cramped conditions - but bosses say they had no choice after a reduction in demand and rising staff Covid cases.

A c2c spokesman announced extra trains from yesterday morning.

They said: "From today there will be additional services to the timetable. 6:14 Pitsea-Fenchurch St via Rainham, 7:15 Fenchurch St-Shoebury via Chafford, 15:54 Thorpe Bay-Fenchurch St via Rainham and 17:26 Fenchurch St-Shoebury via Rainham.

A c2c spokesman said: "As we promised, we are monitoring passenger demand for each service closely and making changes where they are possible and necessary.

"We can now add four services a day, which each improve some of the busiest trains from earlier this week. We will continue this approach, and will make more changes in the future as and when the availability of our staff allows it."
