SEVEN firefighter crews have been battling a house blaze in Thundersley.
Essex Fire and Rescue Service said seven crews from Orsett, Basildon, Hawkwell, Rayleigh and Leigh, were at the scene of the blaze in Hart Road.
A specialist aerial ladder platform from Southend - which fights fires from above was also called to the scene at 10.26pm on Friday night.
On arrival, crews reported that there was a fire in a two-storey detached house that had spread to the roof space.
Firefighters say they have contained the fire and are monitoring the roof space for any hotspots.
