Cordon in place near shopping parade after late night 'stabbing'
A cordon and large emergency service presence was spotted near a parade of shops after reports of a late night stabbing.
Witnesses spotted five police cars, an ambulance and police cordon around a car in near to the shops close to Vange Library in Clayhill Road, Basildon at about 9pm last night.
Some residents warned each other to be careful when out and about in the area.
The worried resident said: "omg how scary hope the person is ok."
Essex Police has been contacted for comment.
