FLOWERS and tributes have been left at the scene of where a man was fatally stabbed in Rayleigh.

A row of colourful flowers have been left at the scene of Paul Fletcher's death in Worcester Drive, Rayleigh.

The flowers have been laid a day after Mr Fletcher's family paid tribute to him.

The family said he was a "much loved young man".

The 31-year-old was found unresponsive in the early hours of New Year's Day on the road and sadly was pronounced dead at the scene.Echo:

A post-mortem examination later revealed he died from stab wounds to the chest.

A 23 year-old woman – Hannah Sindrey, of Worcester Drive, Rayleigh – has been charged with murder.

A 25 year-old woman arrested is on bail until January 29.
