A CUTE lamb weighing the same as a dog is settling into her new farm home.
The new arrival is one of many making her home at Barleylands Farm Park in Billericay.
With newborn lambs usually weighing 4.5 to 5 kilograms, it was a shock for park bosses that the lamb, weight seven kilograms, was able to be delivered naturally by mum, Dolly.
So far this lambing season, Molly and the rest of the Farm Park team have seen eight ewes give birth in what would normally be a busy February half-term for Barleylands.
This particular lamb however, roughly the size of a Cocker Spaniel, created quite a stir in the lambing barn.
Katie Anderson, Marketing Officer said: "It was a shock to see such a huge lamb and it definitely made me wince when Molly told me that Dolly had delivered her naturally! In the thousand-odd lambs I have seen arrive, I have never seen a newborn lamb of this size.”
