A man from Southend is one of four people charged following two incidents involving firearms in Essex.
Franky Rees, 29 and of Durham Road, will appear in court to answer three counts of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
It comes amid a police investigation into an incident in October 22, 2018, where a man suffered extensive injuries after being shot at an address in Warley Street, Great Warley.
Detectives have also been reviewing an incident where a group of men were seen with weapons in Braintree on October 24, 2018.
The group were said to have left in two cars, which were later found in Chelmsford.

Stutz has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and having a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence - specifically in connection with the incident in Warley.
All four men are due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on April 21.
