SOUTHEND'S iconic pleasure pier will re-open on April 12, bosses have confirmed.
The pier, the World's longest pleasure pier, will be once again open to the public following draconian lockdown restrictions.
It's yet unknown if the pier trains will be re-opening on the same date.
This comes as Southend's seafront car park will re-open on March 29.

"We can't wait to welcome you back here.
"Hopefully we will have warmer weather by then and the Easter bunny will have visited.
"In the meantime you can see him in our lovely seasonal window display at the Pier entrance."
