A QUICK-THINKING dad who was left short of a facemask at a petrol station was saved by his son's Stormtrooper helmet.
The man, who was caught short in a Southend garage, donned his son's Star Wars helmet to allow him to enter the store.
In a remarkable turn of events, the petrol station saw the funny side, and snapped a photo of the dad at the checkout.

The Essex Coronavirus Action page took to social media to share the photo.
They posted: "This guy arrived at a petrol station in Southend today and realised that he didn’t have his face mask with him.
"Fortunately his son was in the car and he had thought ahead."
