Admission to the music and beer festival at the Vulcan is £18 each day for adults, and £4 for accompanied under 18s.

This will include a complimentary festival beer glass, and £3 off your first pint with Black Box Brewery.

Alongside this, as part of the event there are local breweries, Pimms, Prosecco, cocktail, and gin bars, as well as live music and street food vendors.

Furthermore, there will be pub games including wooden skittle alleys, bar skittles and shove ha’penny boards.

Matt Dent, Labour councillor responsible for the Kursaal ward, was overjoyed to hear of this event.

He said: “It sounds magnificent.

“In the height of summer, what more could you want? A festival with beer, music and street food, sounds brilliant.

“It will be good for Southend Airport too, and it will make a fantastic venue.

“I am sure many residents will be very excited about this, and it is perfectly located to help bring people from across Southend, Essex and wider into the city.”

The Vulcan Restoration Trust says there will also be free parking available.
