Southend Pier will be moving to its new opening hours this week for the autumn season, it has been announced.
From today, residents and daytrippers will be able to visit the world's longest pleasure pier from 10.15am to 6pm on weekdays.
It will be open from 10.15pm to 8pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
The last entrance is one hour before closing.

Visitors can buy their tickets on the day of their visit from the till points at the Visitor Information Centre or the pier walkway entrance.
Train return tickets are £6.20 and walk and ride is £5.70 - or you can brave the long walk for £2.50.
Every year from November to March the pier also introduces its winter loyalty card, where if you make five visits to the Pier, you get your sixth visit free.
Visitors will be able to pick up the loyalty card next month from the main ticket desk.
