A FLY past at Southend Airport today has been hailed a "mini airshow" as a large RAF aircraft flew into the city.
The A400 Atlas could be seen in the skies in and around the city's airport this afternoon, as it flew into Southend Airport on low approach at around 12.45pm.
Kevin Buck, Southend councillor responsible for highways, transport and parking, hailed the fly past his "own mini airshow" as he shared a video of it flying over his home.

Responding to the airport's announcement of the aircraft's arrival, Mr Buck said: "Got it, thanks. Just did another higher fly past. My own mini air show. Thanks SEN!"
Southend Airport's social media accounts also shared multiple videos of the European military transport aircraft's flypast.

The A400 Atlas entered operational service with the RAF in 2014, and provides tactical airlift and strategic oversize lift capabilities complementing those of the Hercules and C-17 fleets.
