Essex's biggest breakfast launched at Basildon B&D's

The mega breakfast at B&D's cafe and grill, in Ballard's Walk, consists of a whopping four sausages, four rashers of bacon, four eggs, two slices of black pudding, four hashbrowns, two bubble and squeak patties, one portion of chips, baked beans, tinned tomatoes, mushrooms, two slices of toast, two slices of fried bread and slices of bread and butter.

On top of all this, the meal is served with a cup of tea or coffee - with the full breakfast costing only £25.

They have opened the challenge to everyone, exclusively offering that if it is eaten within 30 minutes the meal is free.

So far, no customer has completed the challenge, despite several attempts, as store manager Tracey described the challenge as “unbeatable”.

Alongside this, B&D’s is launching their mega sandwich, a two-layer club sandwich consisting of a slice of toast, two hashbrowns, two rashers of bacon, one and a half sausages, a sauce of choice, another slice of toast, beans, cheese, a fried egg and the final slice of toast.

This is priced at only £7.95.

The much-loved cafe is open everyday between 8am and 2pm, serving up their new "mega" meals alongside their traditional full English breakfasts, homemade classic lunches, sandwiches, omelettes, and more.

It is also known for supporting charities in the town, recently raising £108 for Sunny Days Children’s Fund.
