A DISPERSAL order has been issued for a number of roads on Canvey after calls around incidents of anti-social behaviour.
The dispersal order will be in place from 3pm today, March 21, until Friday, March 22, at 1am.
It will cover a number of roads including Lionel Road, Thelma Avenue and Waarem Avenue.
Essex Police say they have received calls from concerned members of the public regarding people meeting in this location and incidents of anti-social behaviour.
So, to reduce disruption to the residents in the area, a dispersal order has been put in place.
Insp David Kealy said: “No-one should feel unsafe or worried when they are walking to and from their home.
“This order gives officers the power to direct people suspected of causing anti-social behaviour to leave the area or face arrest.
“We are committed to tackle this kind of issue and ensure you can go about your daily life feeling safe and secure in your community.
“If you have any concerns, please speak to an officer.”
