MP Mark Francois has praised the organisers of a free fun day in King George’s field in Rayleigh.
The event was organised by local Christian Churches to help provide a lively and enjoyable day out for families from in and around the town.
Ten of the local churches working together helped to put on a free event, which included bouncy castles, face-painting, a penalty shoot out competition and skate boarding.
Mr Francois, Tory MP for Rayleigh, said: “We are fortunate there is quite a strong community spirit in Rayleigh and the churches play an important role in helping to foster it.”
