JAMIE T will drop into Chinnery’s on Southend seafront for a special V Festival warm-up gig on Friday, August 15.
This is a special night not to be missed as Jamie T’s debut album, Panic Prevention, was shortlisted as one of the Mercury prize nominees, and he has been nicknamed “One man Arctic Monkey”.
Radio One DJ Zane Lowe named Salvador his single of the week, and said that Jamie T’s, Back in the game, was his hottest record in the world.
Jamie T released his anthemic tune, If You Got the Money, in 2006, and it reached number 13 in the UK charts. The next single, Calm Down Dearest, did event better, hitting number nine, and featured Lilly Allen on the B-side.
Tickets are just £6 and available from www.seetickets.com, PMT Music Store, in Southend, Fives Records, in Leigh, or Chinnery’s itself, on Marine Esplanade. Call 01702 467305 for more information.
