BILLERICAY Swimming Pool has revealed some of the results of its £50,000 upgrade.
The pool, in Lake Meadows, off Radford Crescent, paid for the work using money loaned by Barclays to First Strokes Swim School, which has taken over the lease at the pool.
Work on a new reception desk and a new shop has been finished, while a makeover of the changing rooms will take place over the Christmas holidays.
Fifteen extra staff have also been employed.
The results were unveiled on Tuesday, when officials from Barclays Bank visited the pool.
Gillian Dovey, owner of First Strokes Swim Schools and winner of the 2007 Echo-backed Business Awards’ Business Woman of the Year trophy, said she was delighted with the work.
