The WRC is pretty much the best rally game money can buy. The modelling of these cars is just outstanding these days.

They can be tough to drive, but have you ever sent a motor through a forest at stupid miles per hour and kept it on the road.

But persevere with this and thou shall be rewarded.

This version is for the Playstation 3 and looks sensational. On the box, they call it spectacular, epic and adrenalin fuelled. They are not wrong.

Needless to say, you get to drive some of the world’s finest rally cars across every surface imaginable, except lava.

Can you be champion? Course you can, but not first time out. Unless you are brilliant. Or Sebastian Loeb.

The game is a little more sim than arcade, which is really what the world needs with some of the driving games out there.

Working your way up the ranks is excellent fun. You don’t want to crash, so all you kids need to learn how to drive. How many times do you hear that online?

Conquer the handling, and the world will be yours. It’s not a perfect simulation, but we are getting there. And really, if it was just like real life, none of us would stay on the road for more than 30 seconds.
