We are finding out how much has to be recovered to clear our financial deficit.
Because we are told it costs the taxpayer lots of money, it has been decided to privatise Royal Mail.
Royal Mail has failed to achieve a profit because those at the top have had no experience in its field.
These people are government- appointed, so have governments been responsible for the Royal Mail situation?
Yes, Royal Mail lost work because of the internet, but it also lost a tremendous amount of work to private companies because a government took the monopoly away from Royal Mail.
One of the “companies”
which has ditched Royal Mail is the Government.
Many of its departments use private companies. So it seems you can run a business, but use your competitors.
With the right management, this service could remain public.
Will the public be consulted as we have been promised time after time?
We shall see. Remember, it is our service and we should have a say in Royal Mail’s future.
