Further to Kim Gandy’s letter about travellers, it is a fact that any person or persons liable to become chargeable to the parish (or council), must forfeit their assets to reimburse any loss to the parish.
Since Dale Farm has cost us hundreds of pounds, thwarting our laws and giving the authorities the runaround, assisted by eager lawyers, I reckon their time is now up. Not a penny more to be spent anywhere on any travellers.
Their assets are considerable, and considering they put themselves in places illegally, they should pay up, look cheerful and go, or accept the generous offer of a council home.
The above parish edict worked perfectly well for years, when no law was flouted by upstarts.
