This means trains have to run at reduced speed.
c2c says there are cancellations to services on all routes as a result.
A c2c spokesman said: "Due to heavy flooding on the railway tracks at West Horndon, our services may be cancelled or altered this evening.
"Sorry for any inconvenience caused to your journeys.
"Please check before you travel and only travel if necessary."
Greater Anglia is accepting passengers via any reasonable route until further notice. Arrangements have been made for c2c rail tickets to be accepted for these journeys.
