The biggest NHS vaccination programme is well underway across Essex and is being ramped up following the approval and roll out of the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine.

Hospitals and GP centre’s across the county are working to distribute vaccines as quickly as possible to those considered high risk, people aged 80 and over, as well as care home residents and staff.

Both Basildon and Southend hospital now offer the vaccine used to fight the virus.

Family doctors and other primary care staff are also vaccinating the most vulnerable in GP-led services across south Essex.

Residents in mid and South Essex are being invited to the following locations to receive the vaccine:

  • Puzey Family Practice in Rochford
  • Highlands Surgery in Leigh;
  • Stifford Clays Health Centre in Grays;
  • The Brentwood Centre;
  • Audley Mills Surgery in Rayleigh,
  • Maldon District Council Offices,
  • The Valkyrie Surgery in Westcliff;
  • The Nevendon Centre in Wickford;
  • Emmanuel Archer Hall in Billericay;
  • Holy Trinity RC Parish Church
  • George Hurd Centre in Basildon;
  • The Paddocks Community Centre in Canvey
  • Pump House Surgery, Earls Colne
  • Benfleet Clinic, Benfleet.

The NHS will contact residents when it is their turn to receive the vaccine.
