THREE pupils at a Southend school have won the Diana Anti-Bullying Award.
The award recognises work by young people to combat the problem and Ricky Seaby, 15, Adam Bowler, 15 and Phillip Robinson, 13, at the Priory Special School were all honoured.
Karen Morris, a pupil support worker at the school, said: “They were chosen for the award because of the inspirational qualities they demonstrated throughout their commitment and work helping others who have been bullied.
“These boys have never bullied anybody and have always campaigned against and shown positive ways to tackle bullying.
“The school is very proud of our Diana Award holders and we will continue to make nominations for this award.”
The awards follow a half term project where youngsters covered a wall in the school’s hall and foyer with a graffiti mural, which included the message “say no to bullying”.
