A DEVASTATED mother has pleaded with crooks to return a stolen camera containing irreplaceable pictures of her son’s first birthday.

The 31-year-old woman, who did not want to be named, heard the crooks kick open the front door, at 2.35am yesterday. As her husband ran downstairs to see what was happening, he saw one man run off.

Among the £1,333 worth of items stolen, was a Fuji Finepix S100 camera, which held photographs of their son’s first birthday.

She said: “There were pictures of him opening his first birthday presents. We are devastated. I don’t care about the other stuff or the camera, but I want the memory card. I hadn’t even had a chance to download the photos on the computer.

“It’s very distressing.”

The thieves also took a Nokia 6288 mobile, a black Apple iPod Touch, a Sony Vivo silver laptop and two sets of keys, worth a total of £1,333.

One suspect is described as 5ft 7ins, medium build and he was wearing a black hooded top, with the hood up, and black jeans.
