VOLUNTEERS in Castle Point who do not have a traditional office Christmas party to go to are invited to a special festive event.
Staff from Castle Point Volunteer Centre will be serving mulled wine, mince pies and a selection of other seasonal treats at the lunchtime gathering at Holy Family Church in High Road, Benfleet, on Monday, December 15.
The event, which starts at noon, will feature carols and a talk about volunteering from the Rev Dr Martine Stemerick. Robert Gray, from the volunteer centre, said: “This is a lovely occasion for volunteers to meet with others who give their time to a variety of good causes.
“Companies give their staff Christmas parties, so we’re just extending the opportunity to volunteers.”
Places must be reserved by calling the volunteer centre on 01268 638416 or e-mailing events@cavscastlepoint.org.uk
