ROTARIANS have donated funds to buy festive parcels for people in need in Southend.
Every Christmas for the past 33 years, the Rotary Club of Southend has organised grocery parcels to make a difference to hard-up families and individuals across the borough. This year, 50 bags have been made up with items from Asda in Shoebury.
Rotary members collected the goodies yesterday from Louanna Julian, events co-ordinator at Asda.
President Janice Price said: “We are delighted to use our funds in this positive way, and hope our grocery parcels will make a real difference to those most in need within the Southend community.
“We thank Asda and Louanna for their help.”
