ABBA Forever lead a host of new acts booked in for appearances at Westcliff’s Cliffs Pavilion and Palace Theatre next year.

One of the UK’s leading tributes to the enduring Swedish quartet, most famous for anthems like Dancing Queen and Mamma Mia, the group are at the Cliffs on Tuesday, February 17. Doors open at 8pm and tickets start at £18.

Double Mobo award winner Lemar takes the mic at the Station Road venue on Wednesday, April 8, at 7.30pm. Tickets to see one of the most successful black British soul artists are £25.

Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s smash-hit West End musical Evita comes to the Cliffs between Tuesday, August 25, and Saturday, September 5. Seat prices start at £18.50.

Keeping with the musical theme, Britain’s Got Talent’s classical singing star Paul Potts will be opening up his large lung reserves on the seafront stage on Saturday, October 31. Tickets begin at £23.50 and doors open at 7.30pm.

Over at the Palace, in London Road, the Philharmonia Orchestra will be in tune for a heroes and heroines-themed show on Sunday, February 8, at 10am. Seats are £8.

Hollywood-based comedy in the shape of Totally Looped comes to the Palace on Friday, February 13, at 8pm. This improvised show features comics Sanjeev Bhaskar, Pippa Evans and Joe Liss, dubbing new dialogue to old movie clips. Ticket prices begin at £13.50 and doors open at 8pm.

Finally, the Agatha Christie Theatre Company present Spider’s Web, a murder mystery complete with dead body and proverbial drawing room. Seats start at £13.50 and this show runs at the Palace from Monday, March 9, until Saturday, March 14.
