STRIKER Chris Benjamin has joined Billericay Town from Grays Athletic.
The frontman linked up with Town for yesterday night’s 2-2 draw with Dagenham & Redbridge, and scored the opening goal for the Ryman Premier League side after only ten minutes.
Benjamin linked up with central striker Ricky Sappleton, who scored Town’s second goal, but will not travel to Guernsey this weekend as he only signed a contract last night.
This leaves the Billericay strike force with four central attackers – Benjamin and Sappleton and also Junior Appiah and Rowan Liburd.
Javlon Campbell, who has featured a number of times in pre-season, has left the club.
Benjamin won’t have to wait long to face off against his old employers, as Billericay welcome Grays to New Lodge on the opening day of the season.
