FIRST team coach Darren Beale has called on Concord Rangers’ players to give their all before an extended break from action.

The Beach Boys will travel to Bath City for a National League South clash tomorrow.

And, with Concord not being in action again until December 22, Beale is expecting a strong performance.

“We’re going to Bath and we know it is a tough place to go because they’re a good side,” said Beale.

“But the players know that three points would see us win three games on the spin and that would be fantastic because it would maintain our momentum and good form.

“We don’t have a game next week, so that will give the boys a chance to have a breather and prepare well for Chippenham Town’s visit just before Christmas.

“Bath will be difficult to beat, so we know we will need to be at our best.”

Seventh-placed Bath are just four points adrift of Concord, who are currently fourth in the standings.

And the Beach Boys will be full of confidence after a rampant first half display allowed them to seal a 4-0 win over Hampton & Richmond Borough in midweek.

However, the away form has been one of Concord’s biggest negatives so far this term.

Sammy Moore’s side have the best home record in the division, having dropped just five points from 10 fixtures at the Aspect Arena.

But the Beach Boys have recorded just two wins on the road and Beale admitted that needs to change.

“Our away form has been nowhere near as good as our home form and if we, as a management team, could put our finger on why that is then we would be managing at a higher level,” added Beale.

“Hopefully we can enjoy another win at Bath this weekend.”
