EAST Thurrock United will be eager to continue what has been a fine start to the year by claiming their first away win of the National League South season at Eastbourne Borough tomorrow.
Rocks have suffered just one defeat in 2019, with that coming at high-flying Bath City last time John Coventry’s side were on the road.
East Thurrock remain in the relegation zone and three points from safety as they make the trip to 14th-placed Eastbourne.
But all of Rocks’ wins have come at Rookery Hill, so the strugglers will be hopeful of ending their away day hoodoo.
East Thurrock will be without Rickie Hayles, who was dismissed just four minutes into last weekend’s goalless draw with Dulwich Hamlet.
