JOHN Coventry has called on his East Thurrock United side to make home advantage count when Hampton & Richmond Borough visit Rookery Hill tomorrow.

Rocks find themselves in the National League South drop zone and are six points adrift of safety.

But, with three home clashes over the course of the next seven days, Coventry is eager to put a good run of form together.

“You have only got to look at our league position to work out it’s a big game,” said the East Thurrock boss.

“We have got three difficult games coming up, all at home, and it’s important that we get some points on the board.

“We are looking at our home games as an opportunity to get three points.

“It’s very difficult at the moment, but we are working really hard and the squad is a lot better than at Christmas.

“I have brought in players who are willing to fight for the club and they have also added quality.”

Hampton are currently 16th in the standings and seven points clear of the bottom three.

The visitors lost to struggling Gloucester City last time out.
