GREAT Wakering Rovers are hoping to welcome Billy Johnson back into the fold when they visit Heybridge Swifts tomorrow.

Wakering have been without Johnson, who has scored seven Isthmian North goals this season, due to suffering with a hamstring injury.

And interim player-manager Steve Butterworth, whose side are 16th ahead of their trip to third-placed Heybridge, believes Johnson’s unavailability has played a major part in Wakering’s dip in form.

“We’re hoping to have Billy back and that would be a big boost,” said Butterworth.

“We have been struggling in front of goal and he has been a big miss for us.

“We know Heybridge will be tough to beat, but we won 3-2 in the reverse fixture.

“I know a few of their players and how they like to play.

“We raise our game against the big teams and the pitch will suit us because we like to play football.”

Ollie Woodhouse will return from suspension.
