CONCORD Rangers will be looking to boost their National League South play-off hopes when they welcome Slough Town to the Aspect Arena tomorrow.

The Beach Boys are four points adrift of Bath City, who occupy the final play-off spot, ahead of their meeting with 12th-placed Slough.

And first team coach Darren Beale is hoping Concord will end a fine week with another three points.

“It’s been a pleasing week after getting four points from games against Chelmsford City and Gloucester City,” said Beale.

“We’re undefeated in eight now and, although we’ve had too many draws, we’re looking to extend that run.

“There is nothing better than scoring a last minute winner, like we did at Gloucester, so the boys will be looking forward to the game.

“We lost the reverse fixture with Slough because of a penalty which never should have been given, so we’re hoping to get revenge and turn the tables.”

The Beach Boys head into the weekend having only tasted one defeat on home soil.

And the management team - including player-manager Sammy Moore and assistant player-manager Jack Midson - have set the players a challenge.

“We want to get through to the end of the season having been beaten just once at home,” added Beale.

“Our home form is great and that would be a fantastic achievement.

“We have also set the players the challenge of being in contention for the play-offs on the last day of the campaign.”
