EAST Thurrock United will be looking to give their National League South survival hopes a major boost when they make the long trip to face Truro City tomorrow.

Rocks are four points from safety and know victory would pull their hosts even further into the relegation dogfight.

And East Thurrock boss John Coventry, who is hoping to take a full squad into the clash, admits it is a crucial encounter for his side.

“Any game is a big game for us at the moment,” said Coventry.

“We need to stay in touch with those above us and the more teams involved in the dogfight, the better for us.

“But we have to focus on ourselves and we go into the match after a particularly good week where we beat a good Billericay Town side and put in a good performance against Torquay United.

“We can’t ask anymore of the players and we know it will be a tough task at Truro.

“It’s a long journey there and they will be looking over their shoulders if we beat them.”
