ADAM Peek is hoping his Southend Manor side can spring a surprise when they visit Stansted tomorrow.

While Manor are 11 points clear of the Essex Senior League drop zone, Stansted are top of the standings.

And Peek is eager to put the hosts’ promotion party on hold by picking up a positive result.

The Manor boss said: “Stansted are a very good side and they will be expecting to pick up a result.

“They are a very physical side and we have got a big job on our hands.

“But the pressure is on them to get the three points if they want to stay top and remain in contention for the title.

“Hopefully we will have good numbers to take with us and we are not going there just to take part. We want to win points.”
