EAST Thurrock United will be looking to extend their best run of the season to three consecutive victories when Oxford City visit Rookery Hill tomorrow.

Rocks have sealed back-to-back wins over Billericay Town and Truro City to move to within a point of safety.

Although Oxford are out form - having lost five of their last six National League South encounters - East Thurrock boss John Coventry says he is not thinking about the opposition.

“We’re in confident mood because of our recent performances,” said Coventry.

“We have picked up some good results and that breeds confidence.

“It’s great that we’ve won back-to-back games for the first time this season, but you can only win one game at a time and we are preparing for Oxford in the same way as all of the other games.

“They are a good side and their manager has done well with them this season.

“Their recent form is not what they would have wanted but that makes no difference to us.

“If we impose ourselves on the game then it doesn’t matter who we are playing.”
