STEVE Butterworth felt Great Wakering Rovers dropped two points as they drew 1-1 with Soham Town Rangers.
Jake Gordon gave Wakering a seventh minute lead, but Soham grabbed a share of the spoils as Lewis Endacott's attempted cross evaded goalkeeper Louis Hawes.
Soham finished the Isthmian North clash with 10 men after Alfie Connor's late red card and Butterworth was left to rue a number of missed opportunities.
"We battered them in the first half and went in at the break 1-0 up, but we should have scored three or four goals," said the Wakering interim player-manager.
"Martin Tuohy and Sham (Shomari Barnwell) both went through one-on-one and didn't score, while we also had an effort cleared off the line.
"We knew we would have to change the way we played in the second half because of the wind and their goal came from a cross from 40 yards out.
"The goalkeeper misjudged it and it's two points dropped."
