JAMES Wakeling is hoping to hand the reins back over to Hullbridge Sports boss Darren Manning after recording a win at Woodford Town tonight.

Manning will serve the last of his five-match stadium ban this evening, with assistant manager Wakeling in charge once again.

Hullbridge, who are second in the Essex Senior League standings, know victory is needed against sixth-placed Woodford if they are to remain in the title race.

“It’s a really big game and we know it will be difficult,” said Wakeling.

“They are a good side and they like to play some decent football on their pitch.

“We have got to be on it from the first whistle and we cannot slip up.

“We have got to win and nothing less will do.”
