After a goalless first half, Steve Butterworth’s side were awared a 70th minute penalty.
Firmin Ngandu stepped up and converted from the spot, before Shomari Barnwell and Billy Johnson scored late on to ensure all three points.
Meanwhile, Basildon United suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of promotion chasing Coggeshall Town.
Nnamdi Nwachuku gave the hosts the lead soon after the hour mark, while two goals in as many minutes from Mekhi McLeod and Ross Wall allowed Coggeshall to wrap up the victory.
Canvey Island’s poor run of form continued as they lost 1-0 at Soham Town Rangers.
Sam Mulready’s 25th minute penalty proved to be the only goal of the Isthmian North encounter.
