CONCORD Rangers will be looking to boost their National League South play-off prospects when they visit Truro City tomorrow.
The Beach Boys are just one point adrift of the top seven as they make the trip to Treyew Road to face a Truro side looking to stave off relegation.
Concord returned to winning ways against Weston-super-Mare last time out and Darren Beale says Sammy Moore’s side will enjoy an overnight stay in Cornwall as they prepare for the clash.
The Beach Boys’ first team coach said: “We are looking forward to the game and have prepared properly.
“We will travel down to Truro today and hopefully we will make the long trip back having picked up three points.
“I don’t think it’s the best of pitches down there, but we will have to find a way to overcome that.”
Having suffered just two defeats at the Aspect Arena this term, Concord were eager to improve their form on the road.
But the Beach Boys now have six wins, draws and defeats from their 18 away trips so far this season.
And Beale is pleased to have seen an improvement away from the home comforts of south Essex.
“We are always setting goals and we are looking to win an average of two points per game with breaking into the play-off places in mind,” added Beale.
“We knew our away form needed to be better and we seem to have turned the corner.
“Hopefully we will continue that upturn in form and emerge victorious at Truro.”
