BOWERS & Pitsea showed no signs of letting up despite already being crowned Isthmian North champions as they claimed a 4-0 victory over Felixstowe & Walton United.

Goals from Brad Warner, Matt Lock, James Thomas and Ben Sartain allowed Bowers to record a 15th consecutive triumph.

And boss Rob Small was overjoyed to see his players perform impressively just seven days after winning the title.

"I was really impressed with my players," said Small.

"We trained on Thursday and there probably wasn't as much focus as there has been earlier in the season.

"We were missing some big players but went into the game in the same vain as the previous 34.

"I think that we wanted to win the game more than them.

"The players' workrate was incredible and we played some really good football on a difficult pitch.

"I said to the players before the game that true champions will behave and compete like champions and they did that."

Warner broke the deadlock with just 10 minutes on the clock and Lock grabbed his first goal for the club just after the half hour mark with a fine header.

Thomas handed Bowers a three-goal half-time lead by finding the top corner of the net.

Sartain completed the scoring with an impressive half volley.
