WHITE Ensign are hopeful of prolonging their first ever FA Cup campaign by causing another upset.

Having already knocked Woodford Town out of the competition thanks to a replay victory, White Ensign will be looking to overcome another Essex Senior League side in Takeley tomorrow.

And, with the winners of the tie bagging £2,890 in prize winnings, White Ensign player-manager Brett Munyard is looking to enjoy preliminary round success on the road.

“I think it will be an extremely tough game for us,” said Munyard, whose side ply their trade in the Eastern Counties League Division One South.

“Takeley are top of the Essex Senior League and are a very strong side.

“We go into the game as big underdogs but full of confidence.

“We beat a really good Woodford Town side in the previous round and won convincingly in the league last weekend, so we have no fear.

“It’s another fantastic occasion for the club and will be a great day but we are going there to win.

“We have to be at our best and give absolutely everything to have a chance of progression, but we are capable of causing an upset.

“We are looking forward to the challenge.”
