EAST Thurrock United will be looking to record back-to-back wins when they visit Isthmian Premier League high-flyers Haringey Borough tomorrow.

Rocks make the trip to Coles Park having recorded a 3-0 derby win over Bowers & Pitsea last time out.

And boss John Coventry is expecting a difficult test.

“It will be a tough game and they are doing well,” said Coventry.

“They’ve had a couple of really good seasons and carried that momentum into this term despite losing players.

“They seem to keep replacing the players they have lost with new players who are either as good or better than they had before, so their recruitment has been good.

“But we are only concentrating on ourselves.”

However, Coventry is not looking forward to seeing his side on an artificial surface.

“When conditions are like this, there is nothing worse than playing on astroturf,” added Coventry.

“But we have to turn up and do our job.

“We were dominant against Bowers on Monday and you would like to think that we will get a positive result if we perform in a similar way.

“Anyone who has been watching us will see that we are a different animal compared to at the start of the season.”
